First Church has partnered with Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a non-profit charity organization to build beds for kids in the community who sleep on the floor. Studies prove that children who sleep in a good bed have better self esteem, have a higher educational capacity, and are healthier people physically – hence the mission of SHP. Building beds for these children is a tangible way that we can share the love of Jesus Christ with others in need in our area. Come join us for the bed build in our church parking lot on February 6 at 8:30am-12:00pm. Volunteers will also be needed to deliver beds from 1:00pm-3:00pm.

Each complete bunk bed costs $350 to build, a single bed costs $175 to build, and bedding costs $50 per bed.
