Helmut Lachenmann @ 90 | Pre-Concert

Join us for a special performance featuring students from Boston-area conservatories playing works by Helmut Lachenmann. Lachenmann's "musique concrète instrumentale" created a new and unique sound world using extended instrumental techniques that require special skills often not taught in the normal curriculum and resemble learning a new language to acquire. Come celebrate the accomplishments of these students and support the next generation of Lachenmann performers!
Following the performance, join us for refreshments before the Callithumpian Consort concert at 8 PM.
