In the section behind the iconic Table Mountain over looking Hout Bay you'll find a restricted area known as Orange Kloof. It's quite untouched and well kept.The Afromante forest is home to the very famous hike hidden in one of the gorges. The location is known as Hells Gate.
Hells Gate is beautiful beyond description and on the bucket list of many local hikers. It's waterfall location is one of, if not the most unique and mesmerizing Rock formations in Table Mountain National Park. It's a tad bit technical to get to but totally doable if you don't have a crazy fear for heights. It isn't a huge climb to the top of the mountain too but there are some spots where we’ll use our hands to get to the next section.
Only 12 people are allowed to hike in the area per day and must be lead by a guide.
