We are thrilled to present Glasgow psych-rock band Helicon at Future Yard on Thursday 25th September.Helicon blend neo-psych-rock with sitars, electronica, ambient soundscapes and irresistible grooves to take psychedelic music into fresh, new territory. They channel their love for 60s counter-culture and eclectic, global music influences to create a modern and distinctive sound.
Over the last few years, the band have been featured on BBC Radio 6 Music and previously collaborated on recordings with Tony Doogan (Mogwai), Will Carruthers (Spacemen 3, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Spiritualized, Dead Skeletons), Mark Gardener (Ride) and LA-based DJ/producer Al Lover.
