Late summer is seed-starting time for Florida vegetable gardens! ☀️ But finding the right heirloom varieties of veggies can make a big difference in the harvests you reap. We will dive into some fantastic choices that thrive in our unique growing conditions during this talk led by Elise Pickett, owner of The Urban Harvest LLC. Based in St. Pete, Elise is an authority on growing food in Florida’s climate, soil, and pest conditions - even the dry spring season and hot, muggy summer months.
Talk will be followed by an heirloom plant and seed sale for talk attendants from 12-12:30.
Free with Sunken Gardens admission or membership. Held in our air-conditioned Garden Room. No pre-registration required.
