HEIMAT is a Ethno-Metal-Industrial band from Copenhagen, Denmark. The band was formed with the initial idea to create a fusion of Industrial Metal and ethnic music from the Balkans and the Middle East.
After a few years of experimentation with various band constellations, ethnic instruments, uncommon time signatures, poetry and sound manipulation they developed their own distinctive style that contains melodic passages with ethnic overtones, hard hitting industrial beats interspersed with effects, sampled voices and sounds, heavy razor-sharp guitars, and dark, distorted and screaming vocals responsible for socio-political commentary and interpretation of poetry.
