Heidi Evelyn and Vintage Jazz at the Edes Building

Cura Contemporary and Véra Restaurant are excited to welcome celebrated vocalist Heidi Evelyn and her swing band "The Savoy Sweethearts" to our beautiful space in downtown Morgan Hill for a night of music and dancing. Featuring a roster of jazz masters with a passion for historical authenticity, the band will be performing music from the Swing Era. Kick up your heels on our dance floor and celebrate an early Valentine's Day with your loved one or friends! Don't know how to swing dance or are feeling a little rusty? There will be complimentary dance lessons the night of the performance by instructors from The Cat Corners SF!

Heidi Evelyn is the leading expert on vintage vocal jazz in the Bay Area. With sincerity and love for the music, she showcases her deep knowledge of authentic early jazz stylings in every performance. A passionate bandleader, she leads several different bands, and she sings in various styles ranging from ragtime and early blues to New Orleans traditional jazz and vintage swing dance music. She brings a unique sound to the stage, sharing the joy of vintage music with her audiences.

They uniquely capture the sound of the late 1930s and early 1940s, at the birth of the swing era and the lindy hop craze. The band features a roster of jazz masters with a passion for historical authenticity, powered by a true sense of rhythm and drive. The band features a blend of vintage arrangements and spontaneous creativity.
