Noah's Ark veteran Hef became the face of the Rotterdam rap scene overnight with his music video ‘Puur’ in 2008. With his unique, laid-back style and raw presence, he gained the attention of both the streets and respected critics. Along with his brothers Crooks and Ado’Nis, he released the mixtape Boyz In De Hood Vol. 1 after several music videos and a now-legendary 101Barz session.
Since then, Hef has been unstoppable. From Hefvermogen to Kutleven, 13, and Koud – the rapper has been a staple in the scene, constantly reinventing himself.
He released a book, acted in films, won several awards, and is the host of his popular podcast Rookworst. But thankfully, he also kept making music, dropping his tenth (!!) studio album Bloed Is Dikker Dan Water in 2023.
Countless tours and performances in the Netherlands and Belgium have made Hef one of the most consistent and powerful rap live acts in the Netherlands, leading to shows at major festivals such as Lowlands and Woo Hah.
