A midsummer night of beautiful acoustic music and storytelling at St Benedict's Church, Glastonbury. With singer-songwriters Paul Thompson and Sarah Curtis, and storyteller Sarah Mooney.Described by Acoustic Magazine as ‘blissed out Donovan meets John Martyn’, Norfolk singer-songwriter Paul Thompson’s songs are inspired by a love of nature, and concern for the environment. The title-track for Paul’s latest album, ‘Baby Hedgehog’, was written after finding an injured hedgehog near to his recording studio, which he nursed back to health. Paul is on a UK tour performing the songs from his new album.
Glastonbury singer-songwriter Sarah Curtis writes beautiful folk songs for voice, guitar and harp, and has been featured on BBC Radio, Magpie’s Folk Café on Frome FM, as well as performing at Glastonbury Festival. Paul and Sarah have regularly performed together over the years, and have a common interest in hedgehog welfare. Sarah volunteers at Prickles Hedgehog Rescue in Cheddar, and 10% of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to the charity.
Special guest Sarah Mooney is a soul filled storyteller based in Avalon. She likes to tell stories that can enter us like spells and alchemise our lives. She also likes a good laugh!
