About this Event
Help us achieve a target of 200m more hedgerow created at Yate Common!
On Tuesdays during February 2025 we will be planting additional hedgerow along the Road to Nowhere and along the boundary of the orchard.
The meeting point is along the Road to Nowhere, what3words: coast.strongman.chopper.
The closest spot to park is along the roundabout on Westerleigh road at the bottom of Yate Common.
Alternatively, you can park at the car park at the other end of the common at the end of Moorland road, again about 15 mins walk from where we will be working.
If you have trouble finding us you can reach Sonia at 07394845291.

About Hedgerow Heroes
At CPRE Avon and Bristol we have an ambition to create/restore 10km hedgerow by CPRE’s centenary year in 2026. Over the last 2 years we have achieved 3km of our target, which wouldn’t have been possible without the fantastic work of volunteers. This winter our Hedgerow Heroes project continues to grow bigger and better, now taking place across the counties of South Gloucestershire, Bath and North East Somerset, and North Somerset.
Planting and restoring hedgerows can prevent soil erosion, increase biodiversity by providing wildlife habitat for many species of birds, insects, butterflies and small mammals and can increase the overall aesthetic appeal of a landscape.
We still need your help!
