Vaccination Cards Required Upon Entrance

For Day of the Dead, calaveras de azucar (sugar skulls) are used as decorative and edible offerings for those who have passed away.

In this class, students will learn about these traditional treats and then decorate them with icing y mas (and more)!

Please note that this class is open for parent(s) and children between the ages of 13-17.

NOTE: An adult must accompany any teen who wishes to attend this event. A teenager between the ages of 13-17 CANNOT attend this event without being accompanied by an adult. The teenager MUST be the age of 13 at the time of the program. The accompanied adult MUST purchase a ticket to attend this event, NO EXCEPTIONS!

Dress Code Policy

For the safety of all attendees, LA Plaza Cocina asks that all attendees (Adults and Teens) abide by the following Dress Code Policies to make our space safe for you, our staff members, and guest chefs and speakers:

  • Please wear comfortable clothing with closed-toe shoes
  • Please pull long hair back with a hairband
  • Attendees MUST wear a mask throughout the duration of the program except for eating and/or drinking

COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

Attendees of LA Plaza Cocina's food programs (Adults and Teens) MUST provide proof of vaccination to attend both the cooking classes and demonstrations. In addition, all attendees (Adults and Teens) MUST wear a mask throughout the duration of the program except for eating and/or drinking.

For attendees who are NOT vaccinated, you MUST provide proof of a NEGATIVE COVID-19 test taken 72 hours (3 days) before attending this event.
