Hekate, or Hecate, is the Greek Goddess of Witches, Magick, Herbs, Crossroads, Necromancy, Night, Dogs etc. She is known to govern the passages of birth and death. Hekate is the goddess of liminal spaces.
Hekate is celebrated on 11/16 as is said that on this night she roams the earth with her hounds.
Hekate's animals are the hounds, aka dogs, the bat, snakes, owls, and the toad.
Hekate is the protectress of Witches, dogs, and children.
Hekate devotees observe her festival or night with offerings. We will honor Goddess Hekate with offerings, and ritual.
Hekate is the torch bearer, who guides witches on our journey through this life and the next.
