This FREE, Hands-On Introductory Heavy & Light Duty Mechanics training is scheduled Monday through Friday, August 12-16, 2024, 8 am to 5 pm each day. Training covers introductory instruction in Heavy & Light Duty Diesel Mechanics. Modules included: Tools of the trades and use, lube oil and service, D/C electrical, hydraulic systems, and welding. Job site safety is also covered.
**All applicants must provide the following documents for acceptance into the training program: a copy of your birth certificate, high school diploma or GED, high school transcripts or GED scores, Social Security card, DD214 (veterans only), a valid driver’s license.**

This training opportunity is designed to provide participants with an experiential understanding of a career in the construction trades and to enhance participants' abilities to gain employment within the construction industry.

-Participants must be available all five days of training.

-All applicants must participate in the interview process to be considered for final placement in training.
