Welcome to Heavens Valley Work Days for volunteers!
Come join us at The Heavens Valley in Stroud for an enjoyable day of giving back to the community. We need your help to maintain the Heavens Valley. Whether you're a seasoned volunteer or new to lending a hand, we welcome all with open arms!
Tasks for the day include path clearance and levelling a steep path. Don't worry if you're not experienced - our team will guide you every step of the way. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and willingness to help out. It will be a small group limited to ten people.
You need to have stout boots, be able to do physical work using tools provided, bring suncream and rain gear ( you never know! ) and bring your own lunch and drinks / water. There will be breaks for lunch and rest stops. Let us know if you can only come for a shorter time.
Your group leaders will be Mollie Harper and Alan Bently, who are experienced rangers.
Parking is limited - there may be a few spaces on Horns Rd near new cemetery or please street park further away and walk in.
Meet at 9.45 for 10am start at the beginning of the lane past the allotments and the cemetery to the kissing gate into the Heavens Valley.
