On Sunday, May 19th, at 2pm, meet Heather Hietala at Momentum Gallery in downtown Asheville. Often working with wood fire ceramics, Hietala is experimental with her materials and is accomplished in various media. Whether clay, collage, textiles, or even in her detailed journal entries, the artist finds inspiration in life's journey and the natural world. At once meditational and thought provoking, the simplicity of her forms carry valuable metaphors for the human experience. The artist will transport us with an Artist Talk delving into her realm and experience. Light refreshments will be provided. This event is free and open to the public.
