The Heather Ferrier Trio has just announced a six-date tour in February 2025 supporting Spiers and Boden. Tickets on sale from 6 pm, 17 February.
Clog Dancing Workshop 2:30 - 5:00 pm
Concert 7:30 - 9:45 pm
St Mary’s Church, Quarry Street, Guildford GU1 3UA
At the opening ceremony of WOMEX in October last year, Heather Ferrier completely charmed a packed Bridgewater Hall in Manchester with her disarming personality and virtuoso playing of the accordion. But when she put down the accordion and, without any music, gave a skilful exhibition of Northern English clog dancing, the concert hall erupted.
With her captivating musicianship and a sound that is unapologetically her own, we were eager to invite Heather to perform at St Mary’s Church Guildford. And we couldn’t resist the urge to ask her to give an afternoon Clog Dancing workshop as well!
Concert 7:30 - 9:45 pm
Heather will be performing as the Heather Ferrier Trio with guitarist Alasdair Paul and drummer Adam Stapleford. On stage, the trio’s sound is an explosion of groove and melody that embellishes Heather's signature alt-folk style. Their combined medley of influences and genre-bending collaborations transcends the limits of contemporary instrumental folk music.
What to expect: Music that sets the accordion free from its stereotypes and expresses everything Heather stands for using powerful melodies and jazz-influenced harmony. Heather's distinct compositional style creates a show with both emotive and upbeat moments. Bold, passionate and enthralling.

Clog Dancing Workshop 2:30 - 5:00 pm
Heather will be giving a Clog Dancing Workshop in the afternoon. Beginners welcome! Heather can bring sets of clogs to lend to participants if you give your shoe size when you book your ticket. Price includes use of clogs, drinks and home-bakes at the tea break.
Heather is a graduate of the prestigious English Folk Expo one year Artist Mentoring Pathway and the Newcastle University Folk and Traditional Music BA hons degree. Past performances have included Cambridge Folk Festival, Focus Wales and Newcastle Jazz & Improvised Music Festival. She received funding from Help Musicians UK for UK touring in 2024.
