Join us for an improvised duet (cello & voice) with a few indie songs (2010-ish) woven in as a special treat. We’ve been having so much fun playing together in preparation and we really hope you can make it!
Heather Bentley: a multi-instrumentalist (violin, viola, cello), an improviser, and a composer. Post-classical, conservatory-trained, experimental sound farmer. Loves the hum of the refrigerator.
Michele Khazak: a vocalist (think somewhere in the Venn diagram of soul, blues, and jazz) and a once upon a time songwriter. Has performed with a variety of local musicians and bands ranging from improvisation ensembles to the annual fundraiser tribute to The Last Waltz.
Both are in agreement regarding many key issues, including the fact that a purring cat can heal not only the soul but the body electric.
