IYKYK... For nearly two years during the COVID pandemic, a newly-crowned drag queen named Flamy Grant and a songwriting duo called Story & Tune (who exchanged rings in a virtual wedding mid-pandemic) put on a one-of-a-kind livestream called Heathen Happy Hour.
Every week, they would invite friends to log on, pour themselves a cocktail, and sing along to that week's themed set of cover songs.(Royalty, Rihanna, & Rock 'n Roll! Madonna, Mariah, and Meteorology!) All in all, this trio covered over 600 songs and probably drank just as many cocktails. It was a way to stay connected and share some joy in a hard time.
Well, connection and joy never go out of fashion. In partnership with University Christian Church in Hillcrest and Diversionary Theatre, the country's 3rd oldest LGBTQ+ theatre, we're thrilled to bring back Heathen Happy Hour in a one-night-only LIVE event!
Join us at Diversionary's Clark Cabaret for lively libations, hit cover songs from across the decades you can sing along to, and one more trip down memory lane with the Heathens!
