Much is made of the pair of acting silverbacks at the center of Michael Mann’s magnum-opus crime flick, and rightly so, but one of the undersung pleasures here is the deep bench of character actors absolutely killing smaller parts: Jon Voight, Tom Noonan, Mykelti Williamson, Ted Levine, William Fichtner, the list goes on.
