Nando’s says it cares about chickens - but behind the brand is cruelty you can’t ignore. 😢
These birds are bred to suffer - growing so fast their bodies can’t cope. They double in size every week and are killed at just 5 weeks old. Many collapse under their own weight or die from heart failure 💔
It’s time for Nando’s to stop using chickens that are bred to break.
We paused our campaign to give Nando’s a chance to do the right thing, but all they did was sign up to SPCA Certified. Sadly, that means nothing changed for the chickens they sell, as Nando's was already using Tegel free-range chickens, which are also SPCA Certified.
So now the spotlight is back on Nando’s and we’re not stopping until we win.
