Through skillful facilitation, participants are lead in building simple skills that build confidence in musical expression, teamwork, and joyful catharsis. The community drum circles foster a space inclusion through deep listening and authentic expression. Participants connect to the rhythms of their own body and to the earth’s primal pulse, grounding them in the present moment and fostering a profound sense of interconnectedness and belonging. All instruments provided, no musical experience necessary. Musicians welcome.
Bio: Marcus Fung is the founder of Earth Harmony Sound & Wellness and has been facilitating therapeutic drum circles for over 15 years. He holds music diplomas in Jazz Piano Performance and Music Composition. His love for facilitating community music began as an early child music and movement specialist, championing the need for inclusive and intergenerational music education. He has been resident facilitator at notable organizations such as Arts in Medicine Cross Cancer Institute and Little Warriors. He continues to explore the therapeutic, healing and spiritual power of community music making accompanying yoga classes, breathwork, and ceremony and as a performing artist.
