Heart Sutra & Tea Ceremony is a gentle introduction to Buddhist practice through direct experience. Participants are guided into stillness and presence with a short breath-based meditation, followed by a tea ceremony as a form of mindfulness.
The session includes a recitation of the Heart Sutra in Chinese, with clear explanations in English to deepen understanding. Closing with a reflection circle, this experience offers an accessible and meaningful way to connect with Zen and Buddhist wisdomâcultivating clarity, awareness, and inner calm through simple, intentional rituals.
About Revati:
Born in Taiwan and raised in Canada, Anand Revati has lived between worlds â from Buddhist temples, fortune-telling masters, and Chinese medicine to Anglican rituals, Western psychotherapy, and existential philosophy. In this talk, she bridges these traditions through the Heart Sutra, exploring the Heart as the center of human existence â the bridge between the tangible world of experience and the ineffable realm of consciousness that lies beyond the mindâs grasp and the bodyâs senses.
Drawing from Xuanzangâs profound interpretation, Revati will guide a journey into the Heartâs vast dimensions, where East meets West, wisdom meets presence, and intellect meets devotion.
