♥ Held by song leaders and ceremonialists Julie Kouyate & TatiAnah Thunberg.
♥ Come play your voice and your body! Do you like to snap, tap, clap and stomp when you sing? If so, your heart will soar in this playshop! We'll be exploring how pleasurable it is sing to soul beats, co-creating a resonant soundscape of simple vocal harmonies with basic patterns of polyrhythmic body percussion!
♥ No prior singing or body percussion experience needed!
♥ Community singing & body percussion are easy to learn, participatory and non-performative. Simple songs & rhythms that honor the wisdom of the heart will be taught through the oral tradition (we'll teach songs line by line and beat by beat until we are all jamming on the whole song together).
♥ Registration required and space is limited, so register early to save your spot.
