About this Event
You are invited to a daylong workshop of movement and rest with Movement Liberation and Black Seeds Project. Your space holders, Dominique Cowling and Valerie Chafrograck welcome all BIPOC movers to join in this collective liberatory experience.
Movement practice can be inspiring, healing and revolutionary when it comes to exploring relating to others. Relationships bring us into the Heart - the point is to be aware, to cultivate pathways that allow us to choose connection with intentionality.
What would it be like to practice a movement language that involves no spoken words? Perhaps you are motivated by some movement of mine. Perhaps it's a call and response in duet, while remaining grounded in our dance, and opening up to the energy we intimately share & co-create together. Perhaps we lose ourselves in each other, or not, in body conversation. What happens when we invite breath and presence, and let go of preference?
This daylong will be an opportunity to bring more consciousness to relationships, build resilience and capacity for genuine, and more heartfelt pathways with anyone we encounter on the dance floor and in the everyday dance. Registration is required and you must be available to stay the entire duration of time.
