About this Event
Join us as we celebrate the heart and heart space, while honoring our community’s need for connection and care.
In this workshop, we will be working with you on an individual level to address whatever skin issue you desire. We will offer a mini facial treatment that focuses on the facial area you elected to work on, coupled with acupuncture point Heart7, the master tonification point on the heart channel. You can expect feelings of deep relaxation and connection with yourself, as well as improved facial complex and product absorption post-needle retention.
What is Facial Acupuncture?
Facial acupuncture employs tiny, facial needles inserted into the face to address any issues of fine lines, wrinkles, puffiness, or sagging. Body acupuncture points are also done to ground and address imbalances occurring that are more than skin-deep.

THE EXPERTS: Emily Cronin and Taylor Hurley
Emily Cronin L. Ac. is a board certified acupuncturist by the NCCAOM and a licensed acupuncturist by the Louisiana State Medical Board. She trained in London, England and was a member of the British Acupuncture Council prior to relocating to New Orleans, Louisiana. Emily has trained in many different styles of Chinese medicine including: Traditional (TCM), Classical approaches, Dr. Tan's balance method, Kiiko Matsumoto and the Hara diagnosis, Five elements, Auricular acupuncture, Scalp acupuncture, Japanese meridian therapy and Jing Fang. She is passionate about life long learning and enjoys selecting and blending different styles of acupuncture and Chinese medicine for each client and their concerns uniquely. Chinese medicine emphasizes the role of lifestyle and moderation in the cultivation and preservation of mental and physical well-being. Discovering what physical and mental well-being mean to you is a balance that is personal to each individual. Rather than treating isolated symptoms, Emily works with her patients to restore balance to the system as a whole. She incorporates other modalities like cupping, moxibustion, dietary therapy and more in conjunction with acupuncture to provide my patients with dynamic treatments. Emily believes education is important in empowering patients with tools they may bring home to live more in harmony with their bodies, mind and environments. She is honored to serve the New Orleans community and looks forward to sharing her passion for Chinese medicine with you!
Taylor Hurley, L.Ac is a board certified acupuncturist by the NCCAOM and a licensed acupuncturist by the Louisiana State Medical Board. She completed her acupuncture training in Tucson, AZ and there she received her Masters of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine. Taylor enjoys pulling from various theories of acupuncture in her treatments, namely Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), SAAM Korean acupuncture, Japanese Meridian theory, and Five Elements acupuncture. Taylor has also studied with Mary Elizabeth Wakefield to incorporate constitutional facial acupuncture into her practice. In addition to the single-use, sterile acupuncture needles used in treatments, she likes to use cupping, gua sha, tuina, and herbal or dietary recommendations to further support the goals of the treatment. She enjoys different settings of practice and feels passionate about making Chinese Medicine widely available. Taylor also practices at the People’s Community Acupuncture Collective NOLA, and is working to develope a free auricular clinic at the downtown Harry Tompson Center. Her goal is to restore balance and remedy any discomfort, whether it be physical or emotional. As an acupuncturist, she hopes to empower and educate her patients in order to help them be the most radiant versions of themselves. Taylor is excited to have the opportunity to work with the fabulous people of New Orleans!
