About this event
Heart of Heroes is a community, non-profit wargames and tabletop club, part of the Heart of Tamworth charity. The group has been created to support connection, wellbeing, and social inclusion, particularly for those who may be experiencing loneliness or isolation.
This first session is a relaxed introduction — no experience or equipment needed.
What to expect
• Friendly, welcoming atmosphere
• Tabletop and wargames (guided and beginner-friendly)
• Miniature painting station
• Casual board and strategy games
• Opportunity to create a Dungeons & Dragons character
• Time to chat, socialise, and take things at your own pace
There’s no pressure to join in with everything — you’re welcome to watch, paint, play, or just have a chat.
Who is it for?
Anyone aged 16+ who enjoys (or is curious about) tabletop games, miniature painting, strategy games, or simply wants a relaxed social group to be part of. You don’t need prior experience.
