An often heard phrase in Unity refers to the journey from the head to the heart. We generally tend to think of this to mean the allowing of the wisdom in our head to become more deeply embedded in our being, represented metaphorically by the heart. From the organization Heart Math, which has conducted extensive scientific research on the heart for over 25 years, we learn that this metaphorical understanding of the heart should actually be more literal than metaphorical. This is due to the heart having its own little nervous system and “heart brain.” With this understanding they have developed a biofeedback system that helps develop “coherence” between the brain and heart, paving the way to help us live the teachings. Designed to help people with anxiety, stress and self-regulation, it is also a very useful process to help people “raise the frequency,” as we often hear in the wisdom communities. It is really about exercising the emotional muscles to make those preferred emotions—and the behaviors that follow—more easily accessed and practiced.
This class will be 3 evening classes on Mondays from 6:30 to 8:30 beginning June 3rd. The class size is limited to 6 people, but if more are interested we will create additional class times to accommodate more people.
