DeTar Healthcare System is proud to announce the return of the annual Heart Healthy Expo, taking place on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM in the hospital’s Lobby and Registration area. This free community event is dedicated to promoting heart health through education, interactive demonstrations, and vital health screenings.Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with healthcare professionals, participate in hands-on CPR demonstrations, and receive essential health screenings. With booths covering topics from stroke education and smoking cessation to dietary tips and diabetes management, the Heart Healthy Expo is your one-stop destination for improving cardiovascular wellness.
Highlights of the Expo include:
Chest Pain and Stroke Awareness: Learn the signs and symptoms, and get a heart health assessment.
Hands-Only CPR Demonstrations: Learn how to save lives with hands-only CPR.
Free Health Screenings: Including cholesterol draws, glucose testing, and blood pressure checks.
Educational Resources: Access handouts on cardiac rehabilitation, smoking cessation, and diabetes management.
Dietary Advice: Enjoy heart-healthy snack samples and collect recipes to try at home.
Exercise Opportunities: Explore exercise class schedules and information on gym memberships at the Health Center.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early, as booths will be open starting at 9:00 AM. All participants should sign in at the designated area, and tables will be set up throughout the Lobby and Registration area for easy access to all services.
