Agenda:
- Check-In & Offerings: Plan to arrive around 4:45pm to set up your mat space and place any offerings on the altar that feel relevant to you. If you connect with Día de los Muertos, you may place an image of a loved one or pet that has passed on, and if not, you may just bring a crystal, flower, or other momento that embodies your intention for the evening. You will get the offerings back at the end of the ceremony.
- Gentle Yoga & Somatic Healing: You will be guided through a gentle, yet rejuvenating, all levels flow and somatic healing movement practice to assist you in dropping out of the mind and into receiving wisdom from your heart and spirit.
- Cacao Ceremony: A space to commune with cacao (a gentle, yet potent, heart-opening plant medicine) through a ceremony ritual and gentle breathwork practice. We will honor the lineages and ancestors that walked the earth before us and find support from the medicine of cacao and Mother Earth to open our hearts and heal - whether it be on an individual or ancestral level.
- Ancestral Wisdom Meditation: An enlightening meditation session that will connect you further with spirit (or your soul-self) to receive guidance from and connect with your ancestors, guides, and loved ones that have passed on by dropping into a deeply healing meditative state.
- Journaling & Mindful Guidance: Time to reflect on the practices, jot down prayers, and/or to connect with your intentions through potent reflection questions. There is the option to either journal and reflect or participate in quiet introspection. This will be a brief dharma-talk style space with commentary from the host through the lens of spirituality and yogic philosophy.
- Socialization & Celebration: In traditional Día de los Muertos style, we will celebrate and connect after the ceremony, with pan dulce being provided. Feel free to bring your own offerings for the group to share over conversation after the event.
