Learn about how to identify hearing loss, the evidence linking it to other health conditions including dementia and brain health, and management options that may be available.
Akram Keymanesh is a Doctor of Audiology and has been registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario for 16 years. She had been working at Baycrest health science centre for 10 years in both research and clinical settings. Her clinical focus was on treating clients with age-related hearing loss and taking a holistic and family-centred approach to the care of clients with the goal of improving their well-being and supporting them to live safely and independently. She was providing audiology services to community, nursing homes, and hospital patients. She started her own independent practice in October 2021 in a geriatric clinic in downtown Toronto and has been providing the same services since then.
