About this Event
Join us for a night of insight, inspiration, and action in support of maternal and child health.
Healthy Start’s 2025 Maternal & Child Health Gala will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the historic Omni William Penn Hotel. This year’s theme, Hope, Healing, and Action, reflects our commitment to building a future where every family thrives.
The evening will feature a powerful fireside chat with Uché Blackstock, MD, founder of Advancing Health Equity and author of LEGACY: A Black Physician Reckons with Racism in Medicine, moderated by Amanda Neatrour, founder of Lewis Neatrour Group and Mrs. Pennsylvania American 2024. All attendees will receive a signed copy of LEGACY.
The event will be chaired by Christine McClure, EdD, Senior Research Scientist at the University of Pittsburgh and Healthy Start Board Member.
We’ll also pay tribute to our community heroes and champions—those whose work uplifts families, promotes equity, and advances maternal and child health across our region.
Enjoy an inspiring evening featuring a cocktail reception, dinner, awards, silent auction, and opportunities to invest in and celebrate families in our community.
