About this Event
In 1974, legislation underpinning the Health and Safety at Work (HSWA) was introduced. Shortly after, in 1977, further legislation was introduced to allow trade unions to appoint independent health and safety representatives with a wide range of powers to keep unionised-workplaces safer and healthier work environments.
This conference will mark the 50th anniversary of HSWA, celebrate the significant achievements of trade unions and their reps, as well as identifying opportunities to ensure our health and safety legislation and enforcement meets the challenges and changes in the world of work to continue to protect Scottish workers and their families.
Register soon because space is limited. There is no charge for the event, however, there is an option to give a donation to Scottish Hazards to help us continue our important work for healthy and safe workplaces across Scotland.
