Held at Bally's Dover Casino Resort, we are in for a delicious evening that includes a full dinner & dessert. In addition to great conversation and giving back to the community, there will be a pick-a-prize auction, cash bar, and a 50/50 raffle.

About Healthy Foods for Healthy Kids

The mission of Healthy Foods for Healthy Kids (HFHK) is to inspire healthier lives by providing youth with joyful school gardening experiences and opportunities to learn science and eat the garden-fresh vegetables they've grown.

HFHK's Education Cultivation program runs during the Fall and Spring of the academic year and allows over 21,000 Delaware students (primarily K-5), to participate in hands-on, indoor and outdoor, STEM-learning lessons and activities. As a result, not only do students discover that vegetables can be delicious, but they better retain the science knowledge learned in and through the garden. HFHK is built on the premise that all children need to know where their food comes from and how to grow it themselves, and that this knowledge should be accessible and available to all young students regardless of family income, zip code, or type of school a child attends.

HFHK has witnessed the largest growth in Sussex County in the past 2 years and is gaining momentum in Kent County with some schools currently on a waiting list. Funds raised will be used for programming funds to keep up with the demand of interested schools. Programming funds will support HFHK's program team, who align the school's curriculum with programming that impacts three critical areas: nutrition and health, science learning, and life skills.
