Oct. 22 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Taylorville Memorial Hospital in Conference Room 179. Heart-Healthy Soups – Flavorful Techniques for Better Nutrition. Practice techniques to make flavorful soups, taste-test hearty soup recipes and make informed decisions for lowering blood pressure. Lisa Peterson, MS, Nutrition & Wellness Extension Educator, will lead the class, which is offered in partnership with the University of Illinois Extension office. Parking is available in Lot C on the northeast side of TMH. This class also addresses some TMH goals in the Community Health Needs Assessment.
