Benefits of a Caregiver Support Group
Speakers: Megan Fullmer, Alexis Bonoff, Rose Gray
Central United Protestant Church (CUP)
As Americans are living longer, more and more adults are finding themselves in the role of
an unpaid family caregiver. These caregivers devote nearly 24 hours a week caring for
someone in their lives, leading to mental and physical burnout, isolation, and stress.
Caregiver support groups give them a space to connect with other caregivers and find support and information to ease the caregiving burden.
Join us to learn about:
- The benefits of joining a caregiver support group
- The signs of both good and bad support groups
- How to determine if a group is right for you
- How to overcome the mental obstacles that may prevent you from joining a support group
- Actual support group attendees’ experiences
