Enniscorthy Library would like to invite you to take part in Healthy Age Friendly Home talk and Q&A. Does your home allow you to age with independence? Do you have a family member or a friend, that is over 65 and would need some advice to help them to continue live in their house in their autumn of life?
The Healthy Age Friendly Homes programme aims to assist older people to remain in their own homes with dignity and independence for as long as possible. The programme’s ambition is based on four key objectives:
1. Enable older people to continue to live in their homes or a home more suited to their needs.
2. Live with a sense of independence and autonomy.
3. Feel part of, and be part of, their community.
4. Support the avoidance of early or premature admission to long-term residential care.
The Healthy Age Friendly Homes programme provides information and support on accessing home adaptation grants, assisted technology, SEAI and the warmer homes scheme, information on finances, such as pensions and allowances, health supports, and local community services.
This is a free service for anyone over the age of 65.
Participation in the programme does not affect any current supports or services you are receiving.
