Zion Baptist Church of Hagerstown Maryland led by Pastor Rickey A. Smith Sr. is sponsoring its 2nd Annual Community Health Summit on Saturday May 18 2024 from 10:00 am — 3:00 pm. Our theme for the event is “Hope in Healing ... Experiencing the Journey Dealing with the Struggles of Addiction & Mental Health”.
We have invite health agencies city and state officials recovery houses rehab centers churches and people with personal experiences. Job training and recruiting will also be offered by local businesses.
The goal of the Health Summit is to improve the lives of individuals living with mental health challenges and substance use disorders. Experts say that early intervention strategies can reduce the impact of substance use and mental disorders in our unserved communities.
Our mission is to reduce substance abuse and related mental health disorders by strengthening our children families and our communities through training education and services. We are excited about this opportunity to offer an event that people of all ages can participate in. The overdose epidemic has shattered the lives of loved ones and friends in every community including our own. Help us make a difference by getting involved to save someone's life from the agony of drug addiction and mental health.
