The Junior League of Lake Charles, Inc. Literacy Council will host our first Health Literacy Workshop for tween girls. We have collaborated with local professionals to lead discussions on Body Changes, Skin Care, The Importance of a Healthy Body, and Nutrition. By providing a safe space for girls to discuss the changes brought on by early adolescence, we hope to foster strong and confident young ladies. Registration for the event is required, and participation is limited to 50 girls. Each participant will receive a copy of the best-selling book,
