From the Exam Room to the Community: the Current State of Health Equity

This in-person event is free and open to patients, staff, and the community. A special gift will be available to the first 100 attendees to our event. Come join us at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County for an insightful event featuring Dr. Uche Blackstock. Dr. Blackstock is the Founder and Chief Advisor of Advancing Health Equity and the New York Times Best-selling Author of Legacy: A Black Physician Reckons with Racism in Medicine. She returns to Kings County Hospital where she followed in the footsteps of her late mother, an OBGYN physician, to provide care to the central Brooklyn community as an attending physician in the Emergency Department. Dr. Blackstock will discuss her views on the challenges and opportunities of the current moment with Dr. Jinel Scott, Chief Quality Officer and Chair of the Kings County Health Equity Committee.
