About this Event
The Health EQ TN program is designed to advance health equity in Tennessee through a community-driven approach. By bringing together diverse stakeholders—health systems, community organizations, Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), employers, and educational institutions—the program aims to identify and address health equity gaps in underserved areas. It focuses on creating scalable and replicable solutions, using research and collaboration to develop bold, community-led strategies. This event is sponsored by the Leavitt School of Health at Western Governors University, Synergy 3C and HealthCorum.
Key activities include fostering thought leadership, facilitating cooperative partnerships (coopetition), and promoting educational opportunities for the workforce. This includes launching a nursing prelicensure initiative, introducing mobile labs for hands-on training, and developing curricula on Value-Based Care and Population Health Equity to address the region's critical shortage of healthcare professionals. The program will also involve a series of Action Networks that will guide the development and implementation of health equity strategies, ensuring that solutions are tailored to local needs and can be replicated in other regions. Ultimately, the initiative seeks to improve healthcare access and outcomes, create sustainable workforce solutions, and inspire national-scale change.
