Health Check Pre-Booking - SUNDAY 21 JULY

All appointments are PAY-ON-DAY. Cash and card accepted. Prices PER tortoise.

1. Select your time slot (please only book 1 per customer regardless of how many tortoises).
   

1. Answer the question form and tell us how many you are brining and if you would like worming or microchipping (if you have lots of tortoises let us know and we may be able to offer a discount).
   
2. Your booked! Turn up on the day 10 minutes early to your appointment and pay at the door.

• Nail and beak trimming included

• Check of shell, skin and mouth condition

• Species identification

• Sexing

• It is essential your tortoise(s) have a health check prior to worming so we can decide if it is right for your tortoise.
  
• We strongly recommend you consider a worm screening test before worming to avoid unnecessary treatment. (Note if one tortoises in a group has worms it’s recommended the whole group are treated. Large groups may need treating more often).
  

• Worm screening can be bought online from various sellers. We offer 10% off for our members (email for discount code reminder) from Feclab (standard price £15 + postage).
  

• Worming treatment will be provided by trained vets. Tortoises will be left with vet nurses and you will be called to collect once treated to avoid waiting.
  

• Refunds given if we decided your tortoise doesn't need worming.
  

• We advise all tortoises over 10cm in length are microchipped. If you aren't sure if your tortoise is chipped, we can scan them to check.
  

• This appointment will take approximately 10 minutes. Refunds given if we decided tortoise can't or doesn't need to be microchipped.
  
• Worming treatment will be provided by trained vets. Tortoises will be left with vet nurses and you will be called to collect once treated to avoid waiting.
  

• Walk-in appointments are available all day (10.00-16.00) on a first-come-first-serve basis. Walk in queues can be long, so we advise reserving a slot.

Tortoises must safely transported in a secure carrier. If tortoises are brought without a carrier we may have to turn you away. To prevent disease spread, we do not allow free roaming tortoises at the event. There will be a safe area to leave your tortoise in their carrier. Vets will be onsite.
