About this Event
This course includes breathwork practices from yoga, tai chi, martial arts, mindfulness, functional fitness and meditation from around the world. The classes will be tailored to the group’s interests and needs.
The exercises are accessible for all abilities and fitness levels. Whilst some practices will not be suitable for those with pregnancy, high blood pressure or heart conditions, alternatives will always be provided.
Topics Covered:
Over the course you will learn how:
a) to breathe fully and efficiently
b) to activate the parasympathetic nervous system to improve your body’s relaxation response
c) to harness the breath for different purposes, e.g. to boost your energy levels or to calm your mind
d) to become present and focused
e) to utilise different positions to work with the breath
