Genkstasy's Mending is Play Workshop - upcycle your old clothes into something new, meet rad new humans, and learn a lifelong skill!
Come join us for a fun and creative afternoon at our Mending Workshop! Learn how to breathe new life into your old clothes by patching, stitching, and embellishing them, in a playful and easy atmosphere. No sewing experience required - just bring your enthusiasm and some garments that need a little love (ripped, stained, threadbare in patches, you name it!) as long as it's clean, we can get creative with it - if you're worried about it tearing more in the wash, just pop it in a garment care bag and wash it on a delicate cycle with a mild detergent.
Working with our hands is one of the ways that we've connected with one another as humans for milennia. It puts us in the space of calm focus, and allows room for connection with ourselves, and with those creating beside us. So come get crafty with us and give yourself the gift of skillful play!
We'll have tea and snacks to share, and you're welcome to bring along your favourite treats too. So take the leap, and come get crafty with us!
