Healing Through Candle-Making Workshop Title: Light Within

Light Within is a hands-on, therapeutic workshop that blends creativity with intentional healing. Hosted by Kyla Derry, this session invites Black women into a sacred space to explore aromatherapy, color symbolism, and candle-making as a ritual of release, empowerment, and grounding.

Participants will be guided through the process of creating their own personalized healing candle, each one infused with meaning, memory, and energy. This experience centers stillness, self-connection, and mindful reflection — offering a rare moment to pour love back into oneself.

This workshop is part of the Thrive in Black mental wellness series, funded by the Mental Health Foundation of Nova Scotia and powered by Blk Women in Excellence.

As part of the Thrive in Black workshop series, all participants will be asked to complete a brief Photo Release & Confidentiality Agreement prior to the start of the session.
