About this Event
Join with military, medical, research, philanthropic and civic leaders for a timely conversation on one of the most pressing challenges facing our nation's service members and veterans: brain health.
For decades, the invisible wounds of war — including blast-related brain injuries and their long-term consequences — have affected countless military personnel and families. A new form of warfare that targets civilians as well as military members with drones and missiles begs for effective ways to deal with these injuries.Today, a new movement is emerging in Chicago to accelerate solutions, advance science and improve outcomes for those who have been affected.
This event will bring together leading military brain health experts to explore how innovation, collaboration and urgency can converge to create meaningful change for service members living with the effects of brain injury.
A distinguished panel of nationally recognized medical and scientific leaders working at the forefront of military brain health, joined by an active-duty Navy SEAL, will examine the opportunities and challenges to transform care for those affected by the invisible injuries of war.
The Invisible Wounds Foundation will discuss the launch and vision of its Military Brain Health Collaborative — a first-of-its-kind, Chicago-based initiative designed to unite researchers, healthcare providers, innovators, veterans, philanthropists and industry leaders around a shared mission.
Inspired by the belief that the future of military brain health will be built through partnership, the Collaborative seeks to establish a new model for accelerating discovery, translating research into recovery and creating scalable solutions that can benefit service members nationwide.
This event is an opportunity to help shape a new playbook for military brain health — one that moves beyond awareness toward action, innovation and results.
