In Part 1 of our workshop series, we're going to explore something many of us might have experienced but haven't fully understood: the impact of having parents who weren't always emotionally mature while we were growing up. Inspired by Lindsay Gibson's book, "Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents," we're here to shed light on this important topic in a way that's easy to grasp and relatable.
During our time together, we'll create a safe environment where we can chat openly about our experiences. Through engaging activities and discussions, we'll unravel the complexities of how our parents' emotional behaviors shaped our upbringing.
Ever wondered why your parents acted the way they did? We'll break it down into four types to give you some clarity about your own family dynamics.
But it's not just about the past – we'll also explore how those old family patterns might still be affecting us today. Whether it's struggling with self-doubt or feeling stuck in relationships, we'll tackle it all together.
This session is all about connecting the dots between our past and present in a supportive and understanding space. By gaining insight into our upbringing, we can move forward with a greater sense of empowerment and direction. Join us on this journey of self-discovery and growth – you're not alone!
