Healing through the arts


Kim Brake Suzanne Hunter and Luisa Henz are happy to share their combined talents for a healing haiku workshop at Pacific Arts Market. This 3 hour session will involve gentle breath work a free-flowing writing exercise and crafting of your own personalized healing haiku while receiving holy fire reiki and sound bath energy.


Listen to Kim’s healing journey beyond breast cancer and depression with insights into how haiku allowed for creative flow and healing. During the workshop Suzanne will offer healing holy fire reiki and Luisa will offer sound healing as she plays the handpan. Each participant will take home their own personalized art piece crafted from their haiku of healing wisdom.

Please note this session is not intended as counselling therapy or treatment. Kim is an artist and writer who through simple breathing techniques and meditation has tapped into her own creative abilities. She is happy to share this with you as she encourages creative flow and self-reflection. Suzanne is trained as a holy fire reiki energy worker is currently in the process of attaining her master holy fire reiki credentials. (Please note there is no hands on approach and Suzanne will work with the collective energy to create a safe and healing environment) Luisa will share soundscape and discuss the therapeutic metaphors of sound and nature .

Please dress comfortably for the session. Herbal tea will be offered but please bring water to stay hydrated.


BIOS

Kim Brake


Kim Brake is an established independent published author and artist. As a survivor of breast cancer and cumulative stress and trauma Kim found healing through writing poetry photography and spending time in nature. Her continued healing has led her to explore and express her divine feminine energy through painting and incorporating guided intuitive approaches to living authentically.

Kim enjoys creating art and poetry yoga hiking snowshoeing kayaking and beach combing. You can find Kim’s work on Amazon and Instagram @Kimbrake333. Kim’s work is also on display at the Pacific Arts Market

Kim is very much drawn to the healing power of expression through the arts and is happy to have the opportunity to share her own healing journey and creative flow.


Suzanne Hunter


Suzanne is a poet artist and silversmith who draws inspiration from her great love of connection and nature. Her life long healing journey includes a deep dive into spirituality astrology intuition Shamanic methods bodywork and Holy Fire Reiki. She is currently exploring the Divine Feminine and Sacred Masculine within. By profession she is a Facilitator who leads through inclusivity and the empowerment of others.


Luisa Henz


Luisa Henz is a Handpan musician based in Vancouver. Her spaceship looking instrument the Handpan captures curiosity in all ages. With her rhythmic and melodic patterns she creates meditative states and invites listeners to a quiet place in their hearts and minds. Her work melts space and time as she plays with tempo dynamics and wonder struck sounds inspired by the natural world. She is a storyteller at heart and her language of self-reflection is sound.

Luisa's playful spirit shines through in her compositions and her workshops might just ignite your playful spirit too.
