About Brian Knowles MEd:
Brian Knowles is a dynamic speaker, writer, researcher, and educator with the distinction of being twice named by Legacy Magazine as one of South Florida's Top Black Educators (2018 and 2021). With over 16 years of experience, he has served as a content expert for NPR and Everfi several times. His research and writings have been featured in the Journal of Literacy Innovation: Rethinking Literacy Instruction and XanEdu Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Initiatives Blog.
Brian founded Power Builders Curriculum and Pedagogies, LLC - an educational consulting company that supports schools, community organizations, and education-focused nonprofits in creating culturally affirming spaces. This includes, but is not limited to, policy, curriculum, research, professional development, and professional speaking engagements.
Brian has supported schools in his home state of Florida to create environments conducive to all students' academic success. He has designed policies to eliminate systemic barriers and interrupt discriminatory practices that lead to predictable outcomes for some groups of students.

About our Heal Together, Lead Together Program:
Age Range: Adults 16 and up
Program Description: This program offers a holistic approach to adult education and community empowerment. Designed for individuals aged 16 and up, this program includes a variety of initiatives including queer based art, creative writing, inclusive yoga and community panels. Each component is crafted to support personal growth, foster creative expression, and build a strong sense of community. Participants engage in transformative experiences that encourage healing, leadership, and advocacy, all while celebrating and amplifying diverse voices and experiences.

Rohi’s Liberation Station 501c3, a non-profit initiative by Rohi's Readery, honors historically marginalized communities through a multigenerational literacy learning approach.
Programming is FREE (paid for by Rohi's Liberation Station) unless otherwise stated on the event site. Donations are appreciated and will go back into Educational Programming and Services.
