HEADSTAND WORKSHOPIn this workshop we will play with and explore Sirsasana – or headstand as it is popularly known. We will ask lots of questions – Why do we headstand and what are the benefits? What holds us back from inversions and headstand in particular? Are there any fears standing in your way? How do we approach headstand in a safe and calm way?
Sirsasana is one of the very classic yoga postures and teaches us so much. Through flows, strengthening and stretching the most important parts we will prepare our bodies for lifting off the ground and carrying our own weight. We will work slowly and securely and keep the nervous system calm on this journey. Building up confidence in your own strength and ability to balance.
Whether you are very new to headstanding or you have been on this journey for a while there will be something for everybody. We will work on various ways of entering and exiting and different variations and transitions. It will be a chance to play, explore and try things out in a completely safe space.
