Headlamp Hikes

Event Details: Grab your headlamp and join UpaDowna for an evening hike at Red Rocks Canyon Open Space, happening every Wednesday from March to May! Headlamp Hikes are community hikes, and all hiker levels are welcome. Need a headlamp? UpaDowna will have headlamps available to borrow (*Limited quantity available). Explore various trails (3.5 mi. or less) among the red sandstone rocks!

At the end of each month, we will gather at our sponsoring brewery and restaurant, OCC Brewing, for drink specials and giveaways!

Open to all ages. Please note that not all trails may be stroller/wagon-friendly. If hiking with young children, a carrier is recommended. Registration is required to help us prepare for staffing needs for each hike. Please no pets on the hikes.

The selected parking lot meeting point will be emailed to all registered participants 24 hours before each hike. We also include the locations and routes below.

Donation Tiers:

• Recommended Donation: $10
• First 15 participants to register and donate $15 will receive an UpaDowna Mint Green Corduroy Hat!
• All youth hikers (<18 and under) are FREE
• Includes all hikes, special edition stickers, beer discounts, and a chance to win prizes.
• Registration is required to help us prepare for staffing needs for each hike.

Hike Routes and Meeting Spot: Hikes will vary every week ranging from 2.6 to 3.6 miles. We will meet at different parking lots every week. Below are the routes and meeting spots/parking lots.
